上田はそれはただ起こり、時と共に変化する。
普段は見えない氷山の下の様な無意識下の出来事を掘り起こした。
カルルは書いているかの様に金属を用いる。
熱した金属をたたく事で、墨で描いた様な表情を金属に表現した。
By weaving Hiroshi Ueta's brushstrokes and Karl Mazlo's hammers, the two creators cross bridges between their disciplines. They define a common creative protocol and start the creative process with a point, a line, and then a shape that eventually becomes the surface of their expression.
Making but not making.
Hiroshi’s artwork happens spontaneously and changes over time. Inspired by the materials and processes used by Karl, Hiroshi digs up themes from under his unconsciousness.
Karl, inspired by Hiroshi’s art, works on metal with a gesture of writing. By striking incandescent metal, he works with the material as if it were ink.
